Overview
Villa Skye is a 200 square metre stone built villa in the style of an Istrian stone farmhouse, with a typical outdoor staircase leading to the first floor (the villa also has an indoor staircase). Wooden shutters complement the style and together with smaller windows provide protection from the summer heat.
The villa is situated in a small complex with three other villas, which together could sleep up to 34 people. Each villa has its own pool but the main garden and grounds are shared, including a small golf practice area. A wine cellar where you can buy excellent wines is also available.
Accommodation
Accommodation is spread over three floors with wooden beams and whitewashed wooden flooring throughout. The property is also classically furnished with all the necessary facilities for a modern family vacation home.
Ground floor
From the garden you enter into a large hallway, with a store room and cloakroom, and then into a large farmhouse kitchen and dining room, which is decorated and furnished in a pleasant rustic style with a seaside theme of white and blue. The dining and kitchen area has a typical large Istrian fireplace for cooking and grilling, and also provides warmth in the cooler months of the year. Distressed white country furniture with white and blue checked curtains and trimmings define the country look. This is completed with an old stone sink and decorative blue and white kitchen tiles. The kitchen is equipped with a freezer which has a fridge compartment, cooker, hob, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, full set of cooking utensils and tableware. There is a pretty white dining table which seats six to eight people. This room also has two large glass doors opening out onto the pool terrace.
First floor
The sitting room is on the first floor and contains sofa, chairs, satellite TV, DVD player and a HiFi. From the sitting room there is also an entrance to a double bedroom with a modern en-suite bathroom. Double glazed doors open out onto a balcony which connects to the outside staircase, leading down to the pool.
Second floor
On the second floor are two bedrooms, both of which have double beds and storage, and there is also a shared shower room. All bed linen and bathrooms towels are provided.
Outside
The villa has a large unfenced garden which is planted with Mediterranean shrubs such as rosemary, lavender and olive trees. On one side of the villa is a covered terrace with barbecue for al fresco dining. The pool is surrounded by a stone covered patio and sun loungers and umbrellas are provided. In the shared grounds of the villa there is a small golf practice area and a barbecue area. Each villa has its own parking area.
