Overview
Villa Tarantina is a luxury villa in the tradition of an Istrian stone farmhouse with over 400 square metres of living space. It is situated in a small complex with three other villas and is positioned at the end of the row, retaining some privacy for the pool and terrace area.
There are three other villas in the complex which together could sleep up to 34 people. Each villa has its own pool but the main garden and grounds are shared, including a small golf practice area. A wine cellar where you can buy excellent wines is also available.
Accommodation
The accommodation is on two floors and is furnished throughout with dark oak wood flooring and ceiling beams.
Ground floor
The sitting room has a typical large Istrian fireplace and very tasteful country-style armchairs, sofas and oak chests. There is also a satellite TV, a DVD player and HiFi. Connected to the sitting room is a spacious dining room with a heavy carved oak dining table for 8 to 10 people. From the garden you enter into a large hallway and into the charming country kitchen fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker, hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, cooking utensils and tableware. The country look is completed with an old hand-carved stone sink. The kitchen is connected with a double height sitting room, which is imposing like a medieval manor hall. On the ground floor are also a sauna and a beautiful indoor whirlpool spa, and a seperate WC with a washing machine.
First floor
Three comfortable bedrooms and a master suite are on the first floor, and are reached from the spacious gallery which also has armchairs and can serve as a second sitting room. The master bedroom has a large double bed, an en-suite bathroom and its own balcony. Two of the other bedrooms have double beds and the third has twin beds. A balcony, with beautiful views over the rolling countryside, is shared by two of the bedrooms. A shower room is also located on this floor. All bedrooms have gorgeous oak beamed ceilings. Nice bed linen and plenty of bathroom towels are provided. A further two people can be accommodated on request.
Outside
The villa sits in a large unfenced garden which is planted with Mediterranean plants, such as rosemary and lavender, and olive trees and there is a covered terrace for al fresco dining. A lovely pool is surrounded by a stone covered patio with sun loungers and umbrellas provided as well as an outdoor barbecue. The pool is positioned to the side to provide privacy. In the shared grounds of the villa there is a small golf practice area and a barbecue area. Each villa has its own parking area.
