OVERVIEW
This luxurious, new, semi-detached villa sits next to its sister villa Sansa, in the hills above the beautiful Istrian town of Opatija. Opatija is a top resort with a mild climate all year round, which is why it was selected by Austrian aristocracy to be their summer playground since the 19th century. Nowadays historic luxury villas mix with grand hotels and luxurious modern houses equally popular with Croatian and foreign holiday makers. The famous 12 mile walkway - lungo mare- goes along the sea, connecting several charming fishing villages and a string of beaches - Lovran, Volosko, Ika, Icici. You will find pretty cafes and exquisite restaurants along the route. Opatija is full of wonderful shops too. There is a large choice of things to do for people of all ages, all year around. Outdoor concerts, jazz bands, pop music, food and wine festivals, mask balls in February, asparagus and cherry picking in the spring, truffle days and chestnut festival in October. All types of water sports are on offer, and a great choice of wellness centres and tennis courts. The Ucka Mountain national park is popular for hiking and biking and is a place of great natural beauty. This is a food and wine paradise for foodies, with many vineries to visit and to sample the delicious Istrian wine.
Villa Arran is relaxing and bright, built on three floors and comprises 150 square metres of living space, 112 square metres of terraces and balconies, 500 square metres of garden and parking for 4 cars. It has beautiful sea views over the Kvarner Bay.
Accommodation
Ground floor
An open plan area consists of a large, cool sitting room with an L-shaped modern leather sofa, satellite TV, DVD and CD players and WiFi. This leads into a modern white kitchen with all appliances, gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and a coffee machine. The kitchen has an island with an electric hob and there is a separate dining area with a dining table which can sit eight persons comfortably. All cooking utensils and good quality plates, cutlery and glasses are provided. Guest toilet on ground floor.
First floor
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms with queen size bed overlooking the sea and one bedroom with two single beds. One bedroom with ensuite shower room and one shared shower room. Beds are new and comfortable and shower rooms are simply tiled, with plenty of towels provided for the guests.
Second floor
The second floor comprises one double bedroom with queen size bed overlooking the sea and an ensuite shower room. Beds are new and comfortable and the shower room is stylishly tiled and fitted, with plenty of towels provided for the guests.
Outside
The garden is surrounded by woodland, covered with lawn and planted with palm trees and Mediterranean shrubs. There is an outside shower, a barbecue, a covered dining area and eight sun loungers, sun umbrella and bath towels are provided. The garden is private and secluded, with many trees shielding it from view. A few steps lead from the terraced lawn to a heated pool. There is also a table tennis and Villa Arran and Villa Sansa have a shared children's playground.
